Personalizing Instruction to Enhance Student Learning
This program, designed for teachers and educational leaders, consists of three courses to be taken in any combination or order. Teaching for Understanding 1 (TfU1) provides an introduction to the Teaching for Understanding framework. Participants learn to clarify educational goals, link student work to experience, design instructional units, and develop effective assessment practices.
In Multiple Intelligences, participants deepen their understanding of Multiple Intelligences Theory and its application to curriculum development, instruction, and assessment. In Differentiated Instruction, participants learn to identify student readiness levels and learning styles and then devise teaching strategies that respond to these unique needs. By combining these three courses, participants design practical classroom strategies and teaching plans that are informed by educational research.
These are suggested course patterns. We advise working with a WIDE Educational Planner to customize a program that best meets the needs of your school, district, or system. Contact us to learn more.
