If I withdraw, do I get a refund?
- Participants enrolled through an institutional contract are subject to the withdrawal and refund terms of that contract (see section 2.4).
- If you are a non-institutional participant (i.e. you are not enrolled through an institutional contract) AND you withdraw at least 15 days prior to the course start date, you will have the option of obtaining a full refund or a credit which you can use toward a future course. Course credit is only good for six months from the date of issue.
- If you withdraw at any time during the two week (14 day) period leading up to and including the start date of courses, you will have the option of obtaining an 85% refund or an 85% credit which you can use toward a future course. Course credit is only good for six months from the date of issue.
- If you withdraw at any time after the course start date, you will not be entitled to receive either a refund or a credit toward a future course.
Please be sure you can participate fully before you complete registration for a course!
-
Can I apply for financial aid for online courses?
WIDE World does not provide financial aid for participants. However, you may find sources of financial aid on your own, including:
- local institutions such as school districts, local businesses that are interested in workforce education, and local private organizations or foundations;
- grants from state boards of education or departments of education; or
- grants from federal sources or national organizations and foundations.
-
How can I get a discount on the course fee?
WIDE World may offer discounts for early enrollment. Please visit the Register page to see if such a discount is in effect.
-
Do you offer a discount for participants in countries where teachers' salaries are much lower than in the United States?
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer discounts, however, we encourage you to seek funding from local institutions such as your school or your local, state, or national government.
We also encourage you to take advantage of other WIDE World resources and research materials available on the web. WIDE World supports two sister sites, which are freely available to the public.
